IPM ESSEN depicts the entire value chain of plant production: around 1,530 exhibitors from almost 45 countries show their innovations in the areas of plants, technology, floristry and equipment. All market leaders are there.
The IPM MESSE ESSEN is known for its high level of internationality on the exhibitor and visitor side. Innovations and trends characterize the gardening trade fair IPM ESSEN.
Plants of all types and shapes are presented – whether ornamental plants, vegetable plants, cut flowers, shrubs, trees or perennials.
Extrapolated over 68,000 different plant breeds are shown – many of them are world premieres. Numerous competitions honor the innovative power of the industry.
From irrigation systems and packaging machines to fertilizers and substrates to greenhouses and sales tables – the world’s leading trade fair for horticulture brings out the latest technology trends.
IPM ESSEN is also an international trendsetter in the field of floristry.
Flowery inspirations, new ideas and innovative floral designs for successful marketing in the specialist flower trade are presented, for example, by the large live shows in the FDF World.
National and international stars of the floristry scene will present themselves on the event stage of the Association of German Florists in Hall 1A, Green City.
The FDF World is the meeting point for florists from all over the world at the IPM ESSEN.
Also in Green City, the specialist trade will find new floral marketing concepts in the areas of FDF and Bloom’s as well as in the g&v-CreativCenter.
The green associations are available for professional exchange in the horticultural information center in Hall 1A.
These include heat- and cold-tolerant plant and shrub varieties, environmentally friendly and resource-saving packaging solutions, organic fertilisers and substrates, air-cleaning, easy-to-care for indoor plants and pots made of sustainable and biodegradable materials.

IPM and Covid-19
The event will take place as a live exhibition and will feature strict Covid-19 prevention measures, including the latest entry regulations.
Among the safety measures that will be put in place are social distancing, mandatory mask wear, and pre-registration.
Between participants, a social distance of 1.5 meters must be maintained.
They must also complete a registration form ahead of time and provide complete contact information.
The contact form must contain full names, phone numbers, and email addresses.
In indoor areas, apart from exhibition stands, attendees must wear masks.
