The world’s leading trade fair for bakery, confectionery and snacks

Iba, the meeting point for experts of the baking, confectionery and snack industry since 1949, is the international meeting place for bakers, pastry chefs, restaurateurs, café owners, hotel professionals, and caterers as well as decision makers from the food retail market.

It takes place with three years cycle at Messe Munich.

It is an excellent platform for showcasing the latest trends of the industry and achievements in Production technology, Raw materials and ingredients, Snack, Coffee, Shop fittings and equipment, Packaging, Logistics, Cleanliness and hygiene, Energy, ventilation and air-conditioning technology and Accessories.

Unfortunately, iba 2021 cannot take place in October 2021 as planned and will be postponed. The next trade fair is set to take place in Munich from 22 – 26 October 2023.

This is a result of there being no certainty that the trade fair will be able to maintain its international character – a decisive success factor for the event – and the need to provide the industry with a global offer and long-term planning. The preparations and planning that have already taken place for iba 2021 will be seamlessly transferred to the new date in 2023.

Despite the postponement of the trade fair, the organisers and the German Bakers’ Confederation would like to bring the industry together in 2021 for a second time, this time on the usual iba date.

From 25 – 28 October 2021 the second edition of the virtual networking and knowledge event iba.CONNECTING EXPERTS is set to take place. Please pre-register here.

The iba team can draw on the experience of the virtual event iba.CONNECTING EXPERTS, which was successfully held in mid-March 2021.
