Company Listing Policy

1. Purpose of This Policy

This policy explains how company profiles are created, verified, and published on the BHOWCO directory, and what standards apply to listed content. It applies to all listings, whether created through self-registration or compiled by BHOWCO from publicly available sources.

2. How Listings Are Created

Company profiles may be created in one of two ways: (a) a company registers directly and provides its own information, or (b) BHOWCO compiles a profile from publicly available information, such as a company’s official website, with the goal of connecting that company to relevant German trade fairs within our directory.

3. Verification Process

All listing content is registered and undergoes general verification before publication. This includes checking that company details, industry classification, and trade fair associations are consistent with publicly available information. Verification confirms plausibility and consistency; it does not constitute a formal audit or certification of the listed company’s claims, products, or business standing.

4. Optional Strategic Optimization

Where a listed company consents, BHOWCO may further refine and strategically optimize profile content — improving its clarity, structure, and positioning for buyers evaluating suppliers on our platform. This step is entirely optional and occurs only with the company’s agreement. No factual claim, quote, or statistic is added to a profile unless it is verifiable from the source material provided or from public sources, and the company retains the right to review content before it is displayed publicly.

5. Content Standards

All listing content must meet the following standards:

  • Company names, trademarks, and logos must be used accurately and must not imply an endorsement or partnership with BHOWCO that does not exist
  • Statistics, certifications, and factual claims must be traceable to a verifiable source
  • Quotes attributed to named individuals must be accurate and sourced from that individual or company’s own public statements
  • Content must not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, as further described in our Intellectual Property Protection policy
  • Content must not be misleading regarding the company’s relationship with BHOWCO, trade fair organizers, or other listed companies

6. Listings Compiled From Public Sources

Where a profile is compiled by BHOWCO from a company’s public website before that company has registered directly, this is done to provide buyers with a useful, structured reference point within our exhibition ecosystem. Such profiles clearly reflect only publicly available information. The listed company may contact us at any time to claim, correct, update, or request removal of such a profile.

7. Corrections and Removal Requests

If your company believes its listing contains an error, is outdated, or you wish to have it corrected or removed, contact us at bhowco-legal@bhowco.de. We aim to process such requests within 5 business days.

8. Our Commitment

BHOWCO exists to be a well-functioning space for international business connections. We take this responsibility seriously toward both the companies listed in our directory and the buyers who rely on it, and we make every effort to keep listing content accurate, current, and fairly presented for both parties.
