Mitra Sohrabi
Mitra Sohrabi, born in September 1976 in Tehran, is an artist whose journey is as multifaceted as her work. With a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a background as the financial manager of a manufacturing company, Mitra brings a unique perspective to her artistic endeavors. Her professional life in finance is harmoniously intertwined with her passion for art, reflecting a balanced approach to creativity and structure.
Though her formal education lies in accounting, Mitra’s artistic aspirations led her to collaborate with educational institutions and kindergartens, where she contributed to painting educational books and vibrant wall murals. This experience not only honed her skills but also deepened her understanding of the impact of visual art on young minds, emphasizing the importance of creativity in early education.
In 2023, Mitra embarked on a transformative journey into the world of Kamova collage, a style that allows her to explore the interplay of color, texture, and form. Through her collages, she creates immersive narratives that invite viewers to engage with her work on a deeper level. Each piece serves as a visual dialogue, encouraging the audience to interpret and connect with the emotions and stories woven into the layers of her art.
Mitra’s work reflects her belief that art is a universal language, capable of bridging gaps between cultures and experiences. By inviting viewers into her creative process, she fosters an environment of interaction and reflection, encouraging them to find their own meanings within her creations.
As she continues to develop her artistic voice, Mitra Sohrabi remains committed to exploring new mediums and techniques, always seeking to push the boundaries of her creativity.
